Whether it's organising a Father's Day gathering for the men in our community, planning a cultural workshop, hosting a game night, or arranging a business networking evening - your initiative can create lasting memories.
We'll help you with promotion, venue coordination, and connecting with others who want to help. Events can be large or small, formal or casual - what matters is the connection they create and the knowledge shared.

Our committee is the heartbeat of the Townsville Zim Community, and we're always looking for dedicated members who want to make a lasting impact. Whether you have skills in event planning, finance, communication, technology, youth engagement, or simply a passion for community service - there's a role for you. Committee members meet regularly to plan events, make decisions, support members, and ensure our community continues to thrive. It's a chance to develop leadership skills, build meaningful relationships, and directly influence the direction of our community.
Committee roles and skills needed:

Events Coordinator: Organise and manage community gatherings

Assistant Treasurer: Manage finances and maintain transparency

Communications: Run social media, newsletters, and website

Membership: Welcome new families and track member engagement

Youth Programs: Engage and mentor young people
